Vanilla Crumb Pie


Vanilla Crumb Pie

1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 tablespoon flour
1/4 cup light Karo syrup
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup water
1 egg, beaten

Cook this over medium heat, stirring until mixture comes to a boil. let cool.

1 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter

Mix this until crumbly. Pour cooled mixture into pie shell. Top with crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
